Laura Jean McKay is the author of Holiday in Cambodia (Black Inc. 2013), a short story collection that explores the electric zone where local and foreign lives meet. Holiday in Cambodia was shortlisted for the New South Wales Premier’s Literary Award and the Queensland Literary Award 2014.
Laura’s writing has been published in The Best Australian Stories and Award Winning Australian Writing, among others, and she won the Alan Marshall short story award in 2011. She is a PhD candidate at the University of Melbourne, Australia, and has been the recipient of an Asialink Literature Fellowship to Cambodia and a Martin Bequest Traveling Scholarship.
