Jūra Avižienis has been translating Lithuanian literature into English since 1990, when her first translations appeared in Violeta Kelertas’s anthology ­Come Into My Time: Lithuania in Prose Fiction: 1970-90 (Illinois). She teaches writing at Boston University.
