An emeritus Poet Laureate of the City of San Francisco; a founding member of the Revolutionary Poets Brigade of San Francisco and the World Poetry Movement centered in Medellín, Colombia; and a member of the League of Revolutionaries for a New America, Jack Hirschman has translated more than fifty poets from nine languages.
His own masterwork is The Arcanes, the fourth of which he has just completed, and which will be published before the end of 2021 by Multimedia Edizioni of Salerno, Italy, which has published the three previous thousand-page Arcanes. His latest book is the greatest poem of the Holocaust, The Song of the Massacred Jewish People by Yitzhak Katzenelson, which has just been published in a bilingual Yiddish-American edition by Regent Press of Berkeley, California.
