Helen Stevenson has translated the work of numerous Francophone writers, including Alain Mabanckou and Catherine Millet. Her translation of Mabanckou’s Lumières de Pointe Noire won the French Voices Grand Prize 2016 and was shortlisted for the Man Booker International. She lives in Somerset, UK, and teaches piano. Her recent memoir, Love Like Salt, is published by Virago.
