Francesco Verso (Bologna, 1973) is the author of Antidoti Umani, e-Doll (2008 Urania Award), Livido (Odissea and Italia Award 2014), BloodBusters (co-winner of Urania Award 2015) and I camminatori.
His novel Livido, translated by Sally McCorry as Nexhuman, has been published in Australia by Xoum and in the USA by Apex Books. The novel Bloodbusters, translated by Sally McCorry, will be published in the UK by Luna Press in 2020. His stories have appeared in many Italian magazines (Robot, iComics, Fantasy Magazine, Futuri, Insolito e Fantastico) and published in Europe, the United States, and China (International Speculative Fiction #5, Chicago Quarterly Review #20, Future Affairs Administration, Words Without Borders). In 2014 he founded Future Fiction, a multicultural project publishing the best science fiction in translation from all over the world, with authors such as James P. Kelly, Liu Cixin, Ian McDonald, Michalis Manolios, Clelia Farris, Ken Liu, Pat Cadigan, Olivier Paquet, Tendai Huchu, Vandana Singh, and others. He lives in Rome with his wife and daughter.
