Emanuela Valentini was born in and resides in Rome. She is the author of La bambina senza cuore, Ophelia e le officine del tempo, Angeli di Plastica, and the Red Psychedelia series, a cyberpunk retelling of Little Red Riding Hood. She has received the Robot Award and the Chrysalide Mondadori Award, and her work has been shortlisted for the Urania Award.
