Charles A. Perrone is Professor Emeritus of Portuguese and Luso-Brazilian Literature in the Department of Spanish & Portuguese Studies, and former coordinator of Brazilian Studies in the Center for Latin American Studies, at the University of Florida.  He works in retirement on the Central Coast of California.
