Alberto Luna, S. J.,was born in Caazapá, Paraguay, in 1960. He studied philosophy at the Instituto Superior de Teología de Asunción and theology at the Centro de Estudios Superiores de los Jesuitas in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. In 1990, he was ordained as a priest in San Ignacio, Misiones. In 1996, he earned a BA in Media and Communication Studies from the Catholic University.
Since 2011, he has been the provincial superior of the Society of Jesus and has worked as a pastor in various countries. In addition to serving as the vice director of Acción magazine and the director of Entreamigos magazine, he contributes to various publications and theater productions. He has published several bilingual (Spanish and Guaraní) poetry collections, including Veredas (1992), Siempre es ahora (1997), and Pypore (2008). He also works to promote the Misa guaraní (2003), a collection of songs for eucharistic celebrations in Guaraní, by sharing recitations of the gospel daily.
