Kathleen March is professor emerita of Spanish at the University of Maine. In 1985, March founded the International Association of Galician Studies. She was honored by the Consello da Cultura Galega in 2016 and was awarded the Xunta de Galicia’s prize for contributions to Galician culture abroad.
Her literary criticism covers a range of writers, and her translations include works by Cunqueiro, Fernández Fernández, Marica Campo, Otero Pedrayo, Rosalía de Castro, Begoña Caamaño, and Anxo Angueira. She edited Festa da palabra, an anthology of women poets, and Homenaxe a Ramón Martínez López.
