Tanya Malyarchuk (born 1983) is a Ukrainian writer and journalist. She lives in Vienna, Austria. She is the author of six books of prose, as well as a partial collected edition of her work titled “The Divine Comedy.” Her short stories and essays have been translated into Polish, Romanian, German, English, Russian, and Belarusian.
English translations of her stories have appeared in the literary journals World Literature Today, Stand, Belletrista, and Hayden's Ferry Review as well as in the anthologies Best European Fiction (2013) and Herstories: An Anthology of New Ukrainian Women Prose Writers (2014).The Austrian publishing house “Residenz” has published two of her books in German (Neunprozentiger Haushaltsessig and Biografie eines zufälligen Wunders. She was awarded the “Kristal Vilenica 2013” award (Slovenia) for the short story “The Woman and Her Fish”. She won the Joseph Conrad Korzeniowski Literary Prize 2013.
