Oka Rusmini

Oka Rusmini, a Balinese author born in Jakarta in 1967, is a well-known poet, novelist, and short-story author. She has received numerous national awards for her works and is a frequent speaker at international literary festivals both at home and abroad. Her novel Tarian Bumi [Earth Dance] was translated and published in German. The Lontar Foundation hopes to publish an English translation in 2009.
