Born in Rivière-du-Loup in 1972, Nicolas Dickner studied fine arts and literature. In 2002, he published his first collection of short stories, The Encyclopaedia of the Small Circle. His novel Nikolski won the Anne-Hébert prize and several other prizes in 2005. In 2006, he published Boulevard Banquise (a children’s tale) and Traité de balistique (a collection of stories with a collaborator). He is a columnist and writer for the weekly newspaper Voir. His novel Apocalypse for Beginners was published in 2009.
