Nicholas Otte

Nicholas Otte is a writer and musician living in New York. He studied classical vocal performance in Montréal and earned his degree in English literature at Queens College. He is the vocalist, bassist, and lyricist in the Brooklyn-based band Ishmael, and is the cofounder and editor of Not Entirely Unlike, a collaborative arts and literature zine. Nicholas writes as a freelance music journalist and is currently working on his first novel. He was a communications intern at Words Without Borders in the spring and summer of 2016.
