Mira Rosenthal

Mira Rosenthal’s translations of contemporary Polish poetry have received numerous awards, including fellowships from the PEN Translation Fund and the National Endowment for the Arts. She has been a fellow in poetry and poetry translation at the MacDowell Colony, the Vermont Studio Center, the Banff International Literary Translation Centre, and elsewhere. Her own poetry has appeared widely in journals, and her volume The Local World won the Wick Poetry Prize. She holds an MFA from the University of Houston and a Ph.D. in comparative literature from Indiana University. She was a 2011–13 Wallace Stegner Fellow at Stanford University.
