Mikko Rimminen (b. 1975) is a Helsinki-based writer. He has published two collections of poetry, as well as the book Twilight Nature in conjunction with Kyösti Salo Korpi. In 2004, he published his first novel, Pussikaljaromaani. It was a huge critical and commercial success, was awarded the Kalevi Jäntti award, and was nominated for the Finlandia Prize. The novel has been translated into German, Swedish, Dutch, Russian, and Latvian. His second novel, Rimminen Pölkky, was also a critical success. His Red Nose Day, published in 2010, won the Finlandia Prize.
