João Luís Barreto Guimarães was born in Porto, Portugal, in June 1967. He is a poet and a plastic reconstructive surgeon. His first seven books of poetry were collected in Poesia Reunida (2011), followed by Você Está Aqui (2013) and Mediterrâneo (2016).
