Farishta Salehi is a member of the Paranda writers’ group and a contributing writer to Rising After the Fall (Scholastic, 2023) and Read More (Coronet/Hodder, 2024). Farishta has an MA in Public Policy and Administration, and has worked for various NGOs in Afghanistan. She was a founding member of the Afghan Children Literature Home foundation. She now lives in Ottawa, Canada.
The idea for “Rebellion” was inspired by her daily commute to Kabul University.
