Fabián Severo was born in Artigas, Uruguay in 1981. He is the author of three books of poetry including Noite nu Norte and Nós Otros. He is a literature teacher and conducts creative writing workshops. His poems appear in América invertida: A Bilingual Anthology of Uruguayan Poets. His favorite poet is the Uruguayan Circe Maia, but his work is also influenced by César Vallejo and Fernando Pessoa.
