Étienne Davodeau

Étienne Davodeau was born in the Les Mauges region of France in 1965. He has published numerous highly-acclaimed graphic novels and works of graphic nonfiction. In 2006, he won the Grand Prix de la Critique for Les Mauvaises Gens, in addition to the France Info Prize and the Angoulême Audience Award. A film adaptation of his graphic novel Lulu, Femme Nue will be released in 2013. Also in 2013, the English translation of his 2011 work of graphic nonfiction Les Ignorants (The Initiates) will be published.
