Elizabeth Bryer is a translator and writer from Australia. She translated Claudia Salazar Jiménez’s Blood of the Dawn (Deep Vellum, 2016) and in 2017 was awarded a PEN/Heim Translation Fund Grant to translate Aleksandra Lun’s The Palimpsests. She is translations editor at the Lifted Brow and Brow Books.
Kang Daehoon studied oceanography and anthropology at the Seoul National University in Korea. He is currently working on a PhD in religious anthropology at the School of Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences in Paris, France. He has translated into Korean three classics of anthropology by Edmund Leach, Victor Turner, and Roy Rappaport, along with a selection of essays on ecology.
Tenzin Dickie is the editor of Old Demons, New Deities, the first English-language anthology of Tibetan short fiction published in the West. She works at the biographical encyclopedia Treasury of Lives. A graduate of the Tibetan Children’s Village school as well as Harvard and Columbia universities, she is currently a Fulbright Fellow in Kathmandu.
Allison Markin Powell is a literary translator, editor, and publishing consultant in New York City. Her translations include works by Osamu Dazai, Hiromi Kawakami, and Fuminori Nakamura. She maintains the database Japanese Literature in English.
