Catherine Spencer has lived between a trio of countries: England, France, and Morocco, although she speaks only two of their languages. She has worked as an English teacher, editor, and freelance translator, with around fifteen full-length literary and nonfiction publications to date. She has recently started on her first novel (second if one counts the prodigal effort written aged seven), which she is discovering is far more terrifying a business than translating other people's voices.
