Azareen Van der Vliet & Leonardo Francalanci

Azareen is an Iranian-American writer of literary fiction and nonfiction, and is currently living in Spain as a recipient of a Fulbright Grant to Catalonia. She received her MFA in Literary Arts from Brown University, and her novel Fra Keeler is forthcoming from the Dorothy Project in the fall of 2012. Leonardo Francalanci is completing his PhD in Mediterranean Studies at the University of Girona in Catalonia. He has a wide range of interests, including Mediterranean Studies, Romance languages and literatures within the Mediterranean area, Comparative Literature (Italian, Catalan, and Spanish), translation, and 20th-Century Italian history and its representation through Cinema.
