Azareen Van der Vliet Oloomi and Chana Morgenstern

Azareen Van der Vliet Oloomi received her MFA from Brown University and teaches Literature and Creative Writing at Rhode Island School of Design. She has lived in Iran, the United Arab Emirates, Spain and the United States. In 2010-2011 she will be traveling to Barcelona, Spain on a Fulbright Grant to finish her novel, The Holy City, Dream & The Traveler, and her novella 1918.
Chana Morgenstern is a writer, translator, and doctoral candidate in Comparative Literature at Brown University. Her research focuses on Middle Eastern, Palestinian, and Israeli resistance literatures. She is an assistant editor at differences: a journal of feminist cultural studies and holds an MFA in fiction from Bard College. Recent work of hers can be read in Shifter Magazine, Tantalum, Digital Artifact, and Encyclopedia.
