Angela Jianu

Angela Jianu was born in Romania and has a degree in English and Latin from Bucharest University. Her published translations include works by David Garnett, John Fowles and Paul Bailey. More recently she translated Norman Manea's Hooligan's Return: A Memoir (Farrar, Straus and Giroux, 2003). She obtained a Ph.D. in history from the University of York (UK) in 2004 and currently works as an independent researcher and translator.
