Andreas Eschbach, born in 1959 in Ulm, studied aviation and aerospace engineering and worked as a software developer. He is the author of Die Haarteppichknüpfer, Das Jesus Video, Der letzte seiner Art, Der Nobelpreis, und Ausgebrannt. He has won French, Belgian, and German literary prizes.
