Katherine Silver

Katherine Silver has translated more than twenty-five works of contemporary and modern Spanish and Latin American literature and is co-director of the Banff International Literary Translation Centre (BILTC) in Alberta, Canada. She has received various awards and prizes, most recently her third NEA fellowship. Her most recent and forthcoming translations include works by Daniel Sada, Horacio Castellanos Moya, César Aira, Rafael Bernal, and Marcos Giralt Torrente. She has also translated works by Martín Adán, Elena Poniatowska, José Emilio Pacheco, Jorge Franco, and Pedro Lemebel, among many others. She lives in Berkeley, California.
