Sarah L. Thomas is a literary and academic translator, as well as a Ph.D. Candidate in the New York University Department of Spanish and Portuguese. She has published a number of translations of academic articles, as well as literary works. Her translations include Colombian poet Felipe Martínez Pinzón’s collection of poems Intermedio Colombiano (Anamesa Violence Issue, Spring 2008), and various short fiction by Mar Gómez Glez, including a selection from Cambio de Sentido (Turnaround) in Pterodáctilo (University of Texas, Austin) 9, Fall 2010, as well as a forthcoming story, "The Sale," in Translation Review. She is also the translator of Javier Moscoso’s A Cultural History of Pain, forthcoming 2012 from Palgrave/Macmillan. In 2011 she was the recipient of a PEN Foundation Translation Fund Grant for Cambio de Sentido.
