Patrick Hofmann was born in 1971 in Borna. He studied philosophy and German studies in Berlin, Leipzig, and Strasbourg, and wrote a dissertation on Husserl’s theory of description. After having lived in Athens, he now lives in Berlin. He won the Robert Walser Prize for the best prose debut for Die letzte Sau.
