Michael Kleeberg

The novelist Michael Kleeberg was born in Stuttgart in 1959. He grew up in Böblingen and Hamburg, where he later studied political science and visual communication. After extended stays in Rome, Berlin, and Amsterdam, he moved to Paris in 1986 and was director of an advertising agency there until 1994. He now lives in Berlin....

In addition to novellas, stories, and nonfiction he is the author of five novels, including The King of Corsica (Other Press, 2008), and has translated works by Marcel Proust, Joris-Karl Huysmans, and John Dos Passos. His latest novel is Das Amerikanische Hospital (2010).
