Kim Young-ha

A Korea-born native and the author of I Have the Right to Destroy Myself, and Empire of Lights  (aka Your Republic is Calling You), he has published six novels and four collections of short stories since 1996. He made a sweep of all major Korean literary awards with his novels and short stories including the Yi Sang Literary Prize(2012). His works have been translated into a dozen languages. The latest English translation is Black Flower (October 2012, Houghton MIfflin Harcourt). He lives in Busan, Korea.
