Fernando Iwasaki (Lima, 1961) is author of over a dozen titles in various genres, including the novel Libro de mal amor (2001), literary essays El Descubrimiento de España (1996), collected articles La caja de pan duro (2000) and El sentimiento trágico de la Liga (1995), the history Extremo Oriente y Perú en el siglo XVI (1992), and the short-story collections Tres noches de corbata (1987), A Troya, Helena (1993), Inquisiciones Peruanas (1997), Un milagro informal (Alfaguara, 2003), and Ajuar funerario (2004), among others. His stories appear in numerous anthologies of Spanish and Latin American literarure, including El cuento peruano, Dos veces cuento, Líneas Aéreas, Pequeñas Resistencias, Escritos disconformes, and Las fábulas mentirosas y el entendimiento.
