Anne Posten

Anne Posten translates contemporary German poetry and prose. She studied German language and literature at Oberlin College, where she had the opportunity to meet and work with Uwe Kolbe during his tenure as a writer-in-residence in Fall 2007. In 2008 she was awarded an Honorable Mention by the Susan Sontag Prize for Translation for translations of the poet Albert Ostermaier. Her translation of Thomas Brasch's "On the Twelfth Day" appears in the Spring 2009 edition of FIELD magazine.
