Every month 30,000 visitors come to wordswithoutborders.org, seeking the best in international literature. Advertising on Words without Borders or in our newsletter places your book, literary magazine, MFA in translation program, or literary festival in front of a targeted audience of readers and translators of contemporary international literary. To reserve space on the site or in the newsletter please e-mail advertising@wordswithoutborders.org.

Web Site Ads

We currently offer a medium rectangle (300 x 250 pixels) that runs on all article and Dispatches pages of the site. We accept a number of formats and are able to target campaigns to language, country, or state. If you wish, we can also limit the number of times the ad is viewed per visit. Animated ads are accepted though they cannot loop.

The rate for the medium rectangle is $10 per 1,000 impressions.


Newsletter Ads

Our newsletter is e-mailed to over 7,000 subscribers twice each month. Our open rate averages 27% and click-throughs for ads average 9%. We offer a standard (468 x 60 pixels) and vertical banner in each issue.

The cost for either is $70 per mailing.

Dedicated E-mails

When the schedule permits, we will send a dedicated e-mail to our 7,000+ newsletter subscribers. Dedicated e-mails are only sent for advertisers working in literature in translation. The cost per e-mail is currently $210.

Sponsorship

Words without Borders offers a series of sponsorship packages for those companies and individuals who want to make a contribution to the organization.

Full issue sponsorship is $10,000. It includes one month of exclusive advertising or acknowledgement in the vertical banner position and the use of both ad positions in both newsletters for that month. Support will be acknowledged at any event that occurs during the month. Words without Borders is open to other ideas in regards to sponsorship and encourages you to get in touch with you ideas.

Partial sponsorship is $5,000 and includes a minimum of 30,000 impression of vertical banner advertising/acknowledgement on the site and the use of the vertical banner positions in both newsletters.

Event sponsorship is also available, though there is no fixed rate.
